CM Yogi Adityanath: Construction work on the Lucknow–Kanpur Expressway has resumed after months of delay, bringing the key infrastructure project closer to completion under the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government.
Officials confirmed that work has restarted on the only pending stretch of the expressway in the Sarojini Nagar area of Lucknow, which had earlier stalled due to technical hurdles.
Pending Section Cleared After Transmission Line Shift
The delay was caused by a 300-metre stretch near Scooters India Chauraha, where high-voltage transmission lines needed to be shifted. Authorities have now completed the line relocation, clearing the way for uninterrupted construction.
With this obstacle removed, agencies have accelerated work to ensure the expressway is opened within the stipulated timeline.
