Now that the Anant Nagar Yojana has begun, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has begun its largest housing project to date.  Plans for the 785-acre project aim to change how cheap it is to live in the city.  With a mix of group living, cheap homes, and long-lasting infrastructure, it wants to give about 1.5 lakh people a place to live.

3,000 homes for low-cost living

As a key part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana plan, 3,000 low-cost homes will be built.  These homes will be built especially for people with low incomes and weak finances.  Along with the government's "Housing for All" plan to give everyone a place to live, this makes sense.

Putting together an e-learning city on 100 acres

Over 100 acres will be used to build an Edutech City in Anant Nagar. This makes it stand out.  Smart schools, training centres, and businesses on the cutting edge of new ideas will all want to be in this educational and tech hub. It will become a knowledge zone in Lucknow that is ready for the future.

Ten thousand flats and sixty plots for house groups

The project also wants to build about 10,000 apartments on 60 group housing plots, in addition to PMAY housing.  Also, 5,000 buildings will be built for the EWS and LIG groups. These buildings will have room for more than 25,000 people.  That's proof that LDA wants to create friendly and well-thought-out places to live.

Being eco-friendly and living green with parks

To make sure people can live in a healthy area, the project will add 130 acres of parks and open space.  Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) home plans will be used for the first time in the city. This is a big step towards being more environmentally friendly.  As the project has been planned, a solid waste control device has been added.

What I see as the future of cities

The Anant Nagar Yojana is not just a plan for building homes.  It shows how things will be in the future, with smart infrastructure, homes for everyone, an emphasis on the environment, and a tech ecosystem for schools.  Lucknow will continue to grow, and this LDA building will show how a modern city should grow.
