Maha Kumbh 2025: Indian Railways Unveils Plan to Run Special Trains for Devotees, Check Details

Indian Railways has announced special train services for the grand occasion of Mahakumbh 2025, ensuring a seamless and comfortable journey for pilgrims traveling from across the country. In keeping with the spirit of devotion and with a commitment to safety and convenience, these trains aim to accommodate the influx of devotees headed to the sacred event.

The special trains will operate from various cities to cater to the growing demand during the Mahakumbh period.

 Below is the detailed schedule of some of the trains running on January 8, 2025:

Train No. 08418: Tundla-Puri Special Train, departure at 03:00 hrs

Train No. 09019: Valsad-Danapur Special Train, departure at 08:40 hrs

Train No. 01455: Pune-Mau Special Train, departure at 10:10 hrs

Train No. 03022: Tundla-Howrah Special Train, departure at 11:20 hrs

Additionally, more special trains are scheduled for the same day:

Train No. 08425: Bhubaneswar-Tundla Special Train, departure at 12:30 hrs

Train No. 08561: Ghazipur City-Visakhapatnam Special Train, departure at 14:20 hrs

Train No. 06001: Mangaluru Central-Ghazipur City Special Train

Train No. 03021: Howrah-Tundla Special Train, departure at 19:35 hrs

These special services are part of Indian Railways’ efforts to manage the massive footfall expected at Mahakumbh, offering devotees a safe, comfortable, and timely journey. The initiative also underscores the Railways' role in connecting people with their spiritual heritage.

To ensure smooth operations, Indian Railways has deployed additional staff at key stations and set up help desks for passenger assistance. Enhanced security measures, including CCTV surveillance and increased RPF personnel, are in place to ensure the safety of travelers. Special attention is being given to hygiene and cleanliness on these trains, with regular sanitation drives and onboard medical facilities.
