Massive Gathering of Devotees at Maha Kumbh 2025
The Maha Kumbh 2025 has drawn an overwhelming number of devotees, including over 10 lakh Kalpvasis who have been residing in the sacred city for spiritual observance.
According to the latest data released by PIB, the number of visitors reached an astounding 1.20 crore by February 12, 2025. The total count of holy dips taken so far has crossed 1.30 crore, reflecting the immense faith and devotion surrounding this grand religious event.
CM Yogi Adityanath Monitors Arrangements from Early Morning
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been personally overseeing the arrangements for Maha Kumbh 2025 on Maghi Purnima. Since 4 a.m., he has been monitoring the situation from a war room at his official residence in Lucknow, alongside DGP Prashant Kumar and Principal Secretary (Home) Sanjay Prasad. His proactive approach ensures smooth management of the enormous crowd and seamless execution of security measures.
Efficient Crowd Management and Security Measures
DIG Prayagraj, Vaibhav Krishna, has assured that the crowd at Maha Kumbh 2025 is being efficiently managed. Pilgrims are peacefully taking their holy dip across all designated ghats. Strict traffic diversions and strategic crowd control measures are in place to prevent congestion and ensure the safety of all visitors. Paramilitary forces have been deployed at key locations to maintain order and facilitate a hassle-free experience for the devotees.
A Grand Spiritual Experience for Devotees
Adding to the divine atmosphere, flower petals were showered (Pushpa Varsha) upon the devotees and ascetics performing the holy ritual at Triveni Sangam.

Advanced Medical and Emergency Services on High Alert
To ensure the safety and health of the massive gathering, the state government has implemented extensive medical and emergency response measures. Surveillance is being conducted by land, water, and air. A total of 133 ambulances, including seven river ambulances and one air ambulance, are stationed for emergencies. Hospitals across the region remain on high alert, with advanced medical facilities set up in each sector of the Kumbh Mela area.
