A fresh controversy has erupted after Hindu leader Yati Narsinghanand Giri made a provocative statement against Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. In a viral video from the night of March 21, he can be heard declaring that he does not consider Gandhi as the 'Father of the Nation' and instead labels Gandhi and Nehru as the "biggest traitors in human history."

The controversial remarks, made following an FIR against him in Ghaziabad, have drawn widespread criticism. Yati Narsinghanand further claimed that due to Gandhi and Nehru, Hindus—who form the majority in India—have no land to call their own.
The Ghaziabad Police registered an FIR against Yati Narsinghanand under sections related to hate speech and inciting communal disharmony. However, despite the legal action, the self-styled godman continues to make inflammatory remarks, targeting political leaders and historical figures.
His statement has triggered sharp reactions from various quarters, with political leaders and social activists condemning his words. Many have accused him of attempting to create unrest through divisive rhetoric.
In the same video, Yati Narsinghanand reportedly addressed Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, making strong remarks about governance and the state of Hindutva politics in India. The video has now gone viral, adding fuel to the controversy.
As the case unfolds, all eyes are on the Uttar Pradesh administration’s next move. Will strict action be taken against Yati Narsinghanand, or will the matter escalate further?
