Corona has again knocked in Agra district. The personal lab report and RTPCR test of the 40-year-old youth who returned from China are both positive. After this, the sample has been sent to Lucknow for genome sequencing, so that the variant of corona can be detected. Chief Medical Officer (CMO) DrArun Srivastava told that corona has been confirmed in a youth resident of Maruti Estate area of Shahganj who returned from China. He had gone to China in connection with business. Reached Delhi on 22nd December and came to Agra from there on 23rd.
As a precaution, he got the corona tested at the Scientific Pathology Lab at Delhi Gate. The report came positive in the investigation. Information from the lab was given to the health department. The Health Department took the sample of the patient and got the RTPCR test done at SN Medical College, the report came positive. Rapid response team was sent to the patient's home. Samples of the rest of the family members will be taken. Their report will also come on Monday. The CMO told that the patient had isolated himself at home, he was at home. Not many people have come in contact with him. Samples of whoever came in contact have been taken.
Patient has no symptoms
The CMO told that the report of the youth is positive but he does not have any symptoms like corona. The condition is absolutely fine and at home. The patient has been kept in home isolation. After returning from China, the young man got the corona tested in a private lab as a precautionary measure.
Sample sent to KGMU for genome sequencing
After RTPCR test confirmed corona in the patient, the sample has been sent to King George's Medical University (KGMU) for genome sequencing. The CMO says that the government has directed that after confirmation of corona, the sample of each patient will be sent to KGMU for genome sequencing.
A new case of corona has come to the fore in the district after one month. Earlier on November 25, a corona patient was found. Between November 1 and 25, a total of 13 cases of corona were reported.
