During the visit, authorities confirmed that the Prime Minister will flag off both the Meerut Metro and the Namo Bharat train from Shatabdi Nagar Namo Bharat Station. Officials stated that the corridor is expected to significantly reduce travel time between Delhi and Meerut, boost economic activity, and improve daily commuting for thousands of passengers. The project is being positioned as a major step toward modernizing regional transport infrastructure and strengthening urban connectivity across the National Capital Region.

The state administration emphasized that all departments have been instructed to maintain coordination so that the inauguration and subsequent public operations proceed efficiently and safely.

Officials noted that the project has been executed by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation, which has deployed advanced signalling systems, high-speed rolling stock, and modern station infrastructure to match global standards. The corridor is designed to support seamless multimodal integration, enabling passengers to connect easily with local metro networks, buses, and other public transport facilities across the region.

Authorities highlighted that the operationalisation of the corridor is expected to ease traffic congestion on highways linking Delhi with nearby urban centres such as Ghaziabad and adjoining districts. Improved connectivity is also anticipated to enhance business mobility, encourage real-estate development near stations, and generate employment opportunities in logistics, services, and urban infrastructure.
