Accused Father Appreciates Police Action, Video Goes Viral 

Shahdaz Nikki’s father, Rahisuddin, harshly denounced his son, calling him a “monster.” He appreciated the police for their action, saying, “Badi khushi ki baat hai ji, uski raad kat gayi. Uska murder ho gaya. Main bhi pareshan, police bhi pareshan thi. Main to bach gaya. Kutti machine mein phenk diya tha mujhe.”

His parents refused to claim the body, urging police to bury it as unclaimed. The father’s statement quickly spread through a viral video online, drawing attention to the case’s emotional depth.

Meerut News: Accused Rapist Shot Dead

Mohd Shahzad alias Nikki, 34, was shot dead Monday morning by Meerut police after a fierce encounter. Shahdaz Nikki, facing a ₹25,000 bounty, had been on the run for nine months, charged with raping two young girls. The encounter happened near Sarurpur forest when police tried to arrest him.

Nikki opened fire on police, leading to a deadly exchange. He died from gunshot wounds sustained in the shootout. His criminal record included serious charges under the Pocso Act and other crimes. The heinous crimes against two minors stirred widespread anger in Meerut. One victim was only five years old.

After his recent attempt to intimidate the survivor’s family by firing near their home, police intensified efforts to capture him. The local community expressed relief and gratitude when news of Shahdaz Nikki’s neutralisation spread, highlighting the deep emotional impact of the case.

Police Statement Provides Details On Encounter Circumstances 

Meerut SSP Dr. Vipin Tada stated police acted lawfully during the encounter. Shahdaz Nikki was cornered near the Sardhana-Binoli road in Sarurpur police limits. Police attempted to stop him during routine checking.

Instead, he fired at the team, injuring a police officer’s bulletproof jacket. Police returned fire in self-defense, fatally wounding Nikki. His body was sent for a post-mortem, and a full investigation was launched.

This incident is part of a recent surge in police encounters in Uttar Pradesh. In just over two weeks, multiple accused criminals with high bounty rewards have been shot dead in police actions, including in Bareilly, Saharanpur, and Muzaffarnagar.
