Meerut Prayagraj Expressway: 6 Lane Driving Bonanza to Reduce Travel Time to Half, Check Route

India is set to witness a major infrastructural boost this year, with several key projects in development. Among them, the Ganga Expressway, connecting Meerut to Prayagraj, is expected to revolutionize travel in Uttar Pradesh, significantly reducing commute time.

About the Ganga Expressway

The 594-km-long expressway will link National Highway 334 in Meerut to National Highway 2 at the Prayagraj Bypass. Once completed, it will cut down travel time from 12 hours to just 6 hours, enhancing intercity connectivity and boosting economic activity in the region.

As per reports, the expressway will begin at Bijoli Village in Meerut and conclude at Judapur Dandu Village in Prayagraj. It will pass through Hapur, Sambhal, Chandausi, Budaun, Tilhar, Unnao, Raebareli, and other key districts, ensuring smoother and faster movement across eastern and western Uttar Pradesh.

Longest Expressway in India

Designed as a six-lane highway, the project has the potential for future expansion to eight lanes. Once operational, it will become India’s longest expressway, improving logistics, trade, and regional development.

The Ganga Expressway is part of India’s broader infrastructural vision to strengthen road networks and ease congestion on existing routes. The initiative is expected to boost tourism, improve freight transportation, and create new employment opportunities.

With rapid progress in development, the expressway is on track to redefine travel between Meerut and Prayagraj, making road journeys more convenient and efficient for commuters.
