Mirzapur Viral Video: CRPF Jawan Brutally Beaten by Kanwariyas at Railway Station, Check Police Action

Kanwariyas beat a CRPF jawan mercilessly at Mirzapur station after the latter had a tiff with them. The viral video of Mirzapur gave rise to outrage, and as a result, seven accused were sent to prison.

In the video, one sees the soldier lying on the floor as a group of men kicks and punches him. Worse still? The mob gathered about him stood in silent watch--no one came to his assistance. This act of inhumanity has disturbed the faith that the month of Sawan, which is marked by peace and devotion to Lord Shiva, is being exploited by the minority, who are attempting to stand in the name of religion and promote violence.

What Led to the Assault in the Mirzapur Viral Video?

The incident occurred when the CRPF jawan reached the station to purchase a ticket for the Brahmaputra Express. It is claimed that he and a gang of kanwariyas engaged in a minor verbal confrontation. It turned into a fight in no time, and the people started beating him in broad daylight. This Mirzapur Viral Video records the whole happenings, the jawan was pushed, beaten on the road, and people were just watching.

Police Take Action: 7 Kanwariyas Arrested

When the Mirzapur Viral Video became viral on social media, the whole nation started demanding justice. With regards to the incident, the police reported that the CRPF Jawan is deployed in Manipur and was on his way to board the Brahmaputra Mail when the incident took place. Seven suspects were arrested, and sources claim they have been released.
