Naseem Solanki: In Kanpur, self-proclaimed BJP leader Dheeraj Chadha has landed in controversy after an audio clip of his abusive phone conversation with newly-elected SP MLA Naseem Solanki from Sisamau went viral. Chadha not only threatened to physically harm Solanki but also used derogatory language for Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav.
Phone Threats and Insults
In the leaked audio, Chadha allegedly berated Solanki, accusing her of favoritism in organizing bonfires only in Muslim-majority areas. During the heated exchange, Chadha reportedly said, “I’ll beat you with shoes.” Solanki retorted, “Come here, and we’ll treat your madness. Don’t test my patience.”
Legal Action Initiated
MLA Naseem Solanki has decided to pursue legal action against Chadha, stating that she will consult her legal team before filing a formal complaint. Solanki remarked, “This time, I won’t let it go. He crossed all limits, and legal action is necessary.”
This isn’t the first time Chadha has clashed with Solanki. During a previous election, Chadha allegedly sent her a notice over her temple visit, which he deemed inappropriate. Solanki chose to forgive him then but has resolved not to overlook his behavior now.
Police on Standby
The Kanpur police stated that they are ready to take necessary action once a formal complaint is lodged. This incident has ignited political tensions, with many criticizing Chadha’s behavior as unbecoming of a public representative.
The case underscores the importance of maintaining decorum in political discourse and ensuring that elected leaders are held accountable for their actions.
