Noida International Airport: Faridabad To Jewar In Just 20 Minutes! Which UP-Haryana Urban-Rural Areas Would Win Big From Greenfield Expressway?

Noida International Airport: Led by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), a 31 kilometres six-lane Greenfield Expressway is all set to connect Faridabad Smart City to the Noida International Airport in Jewar in just 15-20 minutes.

Likely by April 2027, the expressway could see some sections opening in 2026 while the rest would open by early next year.

Noida International Airport-What’s Special About This News?

The Rs. 2414 crore project may soon be expandable from the proposed, existing 6 to 8 lanes in the near future. The expressway would connect industrial area of Faridabad directly to the Noida International Airport, improving regional connectivity between Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

According to NHAI reports, the project would terminate at Dayanatpur village that is near the Jewar Airport and start at Faridabad’s Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Link Road (Sector 65). Approximately 7-9 kilometres of the project falls in the state of Uttar Pradesh while approximately 22-24 kilometres of the expressway would fall in the state of Haryana. The route would also pass through 6 villages in Uttar Pradesh and 12 in Haryana.

Villages Along the Expressway Route

In Uttar Pradesh, the Greenfield Expressway would pass through Falaida Bangar, Amarpur, Karauli Bangar, Jhuppa, Vallabhnagar and Dayanatpur.

In Haryana, the expressway would pass via Bahbalpur, Phaphunda, Panhera Khurd, Narhawali, Mehmadpur, Shahpur, Sotai, Chandawali, Mohana, Kalan, Hirapur and Baghpur.

Till now, more than 1200 pillars have been erected and work is presently on the way for the installation of girders across the Yamuna River. Approximately 3000 pillars are needed for the overall project.

Regional Connectivity And Job Creation

The expressway would help in supercharging the entire NCR region. The factories of Faridabad and adjoining areas would benefit greatly from swift airport access for cargo and executives, which would also ease logistics from the congested roads of Delhi NCR. The smooth integration with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway would foster seamless travel to Agra, Lucknow and more cities.
