The much-anticipated Noida International Airport at Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, is nearing the final stages of completion and will soon be ready for operations, according to Tata Projects Ltd, the infrastructure and construction arm of the Tata Group.

During a press interaction, Vinayak Pai, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Projects, stated that most of the construction work has been completed and the project has now entered the regulatory approval phase.
“Noida International Airport Ltd is currently working with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to obtain safety, security clearances and the aerodrome license. So by and large, our work is ready for the Prime Minister to come and inaugurate,” said Pai.
Tata Projects was awarded the contract to build the Noida International Airport (NIA), a key infrastructure project expected to significantly boost air connectivity and economic growth in the National Capital Region (NCR).

The airport, once operational, will serve as a second major aviation hub for the National Capital Region (NCR), easing pressure on Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. The project is expected to enhance connectivity, trade, and tourism, making Uttar Pradesh a vital link in India’s aviation map.
The upcoming airport, being built under a public-private partnership model, is seen as a symbol of Uttar Pradesh’s rapid infrastructure growth under the government’s development push.
Once operational, the airport is set to become a major aviation hub, complementing Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport and supporting the region’s rapidly growing passenger and cargo traffic.
Officials have expressed optimism that with regulatory clearances progressing steadily, inauguration could take place soon, marking a major milestone in Uttar Pradesh’s development journey.
