Noida International Airport to Get High-Speed Rail Station on Delhi–Varanasi CorridorUttar Pradesh and People

This design aims to integrate air and rail connectivity efficiently, offering world-class infrastructure for travelers.

The upcoming Noida International Airport (NIA) will soon feature a station on the Delhi–Varanasi High-Speed Rail Corridor, with the National High-Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRC) approving its inclusion in the Detailed Project Report (DPR). The station will be constructed underground within the airport’s Ground Transportation Centre (GTC), ensuring direct and seamless access for passengers.

Underground Station at Noida Airport

The high-speed rail corridor will be built along the Yamuna Expressway’s central verge, while the section passing through the airport premises will run underground. This design aims to integrate air and rail connectivity efficiently, offering world-class infrastructure for travelers.

Enhanced Connectivity Across Key Cities

The 800-kilometre-long Delhi–Varanasi corridor will connect major cities including Delhi, Mathura, Agra, Etawah, Lucknow, and Ayodhya. Officials said that a LiDAR survey for the project has already been completed. Once operational, it is expected to revolutionize travel between northern cities, improving both passenger and cargo movement.

21-Minute Travel Time Between Delhi and Noida Airport

One of the most significant benefits of the project will be the drastic reduction in travel time. The journey from Delhi to Noida International Airport is expected to take only about 21 minutes, offering travelers faster and more convenient transit options.

Additional Rail Link Under Development

Alongside the high-speed corridor, the North Central Railway is developing another key rail corridor between Rundi and Chola stations. This line will connect the Delhi–Mumbai and Delhi–Howrah routes and will also include a dedicated station at the Noida International Airport. The move will further strengthen the airport’s connectivity and support the regional transport network.

With these developments, Noida International Airport is poised to become a major aviation and transport hub in northern India, supporting the state government’s vision of integrated infrastructure growth.
