Noida News: Officials announced on Tuesday that Bayview Projects, supported by filmmaker Boney Kapoor and Bhutani Infra, had won the tender to build International Film City close to Noida, Uttar Pradesh. They said that in order to win the greenfield project, the corporation made the state government an offer of the greatest revenue share. Public-private partnership (PPP) development is the model being used for the project.

Finalists for International Film City Development

Four bidders have advanced to the last phase of financial assessment as potential developers for the International Film City close to the future Noida Airport. These bids include T-Series and businesses supported by actor Akshay Kumar and producer Boney Kapoor.

The Uttar Pradesh government officials were presented with presentations on Saturday by Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited (T-Series), Supersonic Technobuild Private Limited (Maddock Films, Cape of Good Films LLP, and others), Bayview Projects LLP (supported by Boney Kapoor and others), and 4 Lions Films Private Limited (supported by filmmaker K C Bokadia and others).

Announcement by OSD Shailendra Bhatia

Arun Vir Singh, CEO of the Yamuna Motorway Authority, Principal Secretary and Chairman Anil Sagar, Director of Information Shishir Singh, Project's OSD Shailendra Bhatia, and UP Industrial and Infrastructure Development Commissioner Manoj Kumar Singh presided over the meeting.

Bhatia, who also serves as the Yamuna Motorway Authority's Additional CEO, announced on Saturday that the concessionaire's proposal will be forwarded to the state government for approval following the opening of the financial bid.

Bid Timeline and Deadline

The project's bid was opened on September 30, 2023, and the deadline was January 5, 2024. After two previous attempts to lure investors to the Film City development failed, the bid has now been floated three times. An multinational project spanning over 1,000 acres (230 acres in the first phase) of land along the Yamuna Motorway near Noida, the Film City is a pet project of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The project is located close to the future Noida International Airport in Sector 21 of the Yamuna Motorway Authority.
