In a major step toward sustainable urban mobility, the Noida Authority has initiated a ₹675 crore electric city bus project to operate 500 e-city buses across Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna Expressway region. The project aims to improve public transport connectivity, including direct access to the upcoming Jewar International Airport.
Key Project Highlights:
500 e-buses to be deployed:
300 buses in Noida
100 buses each in Greater Noida and the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Area
Dedicated terminals with charging and servicing infrastructure will be developed at Sector 90 and Sector 82 in Noida.
The project is being coordinated by consulting agency DIMTS (Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System), which has already begun the survey.
The final report is expected to be submitted to the Noida Authority within the next 10 days.
Seamless Airport Connectivity
The electric bus network will also include routes connecting to the Noida International Airport (Jewar), enabling clean and efficient transportation for commuters and air travelers. This aligns with Uttar Pradesh’s green mobility goals and the broader push to reduce vehicular emissions in urban areas.

The e-bus fleet will reduce dependency on diesel-run vehicles, cut carbon emissions, and offer modern, clean transportation for daily commuters. A key feature of the project is seamless access to Jewar Airport, enabling last-mile connectivity from residential and commercial zones.
Green Urban Mobility
The initiative is part of a broader vision to:
Reduce air pollution
Promote eco-friendly transport solutions
Strengthen the infrastructure of public transport in rapidly growing urban centers
With its significant environmental and logistical benefits, the e-bus project is expected to transform public commuting in Noida and nearby regions over the coming years.
Further details on timelines, route plans, and fleet deployment are expected once the survey report is finalized.
