Noida News: Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport is set to introduce a luxury bus service next week, becoming the first airport in India to offer dedicated “airport-city” coaches. The new service, announced by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), will connect IGI Airport with key locations in Noida and Greater Noida, offering passengers a premium public transport option for ₹199 per trip.
IGI Airport to Launch Luxury Bus Service Connecting Noida, Greater Noida
Currently, around 20% of passengers at IGI Airport use public transport, making it the best-connected airport in India. The new service aims to further boost this share by providing a reliable, comfortable, and affordable alternative to private taxis and cars.
Features include real-time GPS tracking, trained crew, USB charging ports, CCTV surveillance
Operated jointly by DIAL and FlixBus, the luxury coaches are designed with passenger convenience in mind. Features include real-time GPS tracking, trained crew, USB charging ports, CCTV surveillance, ample luggage space, and plush seating for a comfortable journey.
Key stops on the route include Noida Sector 16, Botanical Garden, Golf Course Road, Gaur City, Jaypee Wishtown, and Pari Chowk. Depending on traffic, travel times will range between 130 to 180 minutes. The service will operate round the clock, making it easier for people from Noida and Greater Noida to reach the airport at any hour.
Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, CEO of DIAL, said, “This service aims to bridge the gap between air travel and seamless urban transit in the national capital. We aim to encourage the use of public transport, reduce dependence on private vehicles, lower carbon footprints, decongest city roads, and set new standards in airport connectivity and passenger comfort.”
This initiative is expected to significantly improve connectivity for Uttar Pradesh residents, providing a much-needed convenient option for airport travel.
