PM Modi, CM Yogi Adityanath launch ₹6,300+ crore projects in Varanasi, flag off Amrit Bharat trains

CM Yogi Adityanath: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 163 development projects worth over ₹6,330 crore in Varanasi, reinforcing the vision of a “New India” emerging from Kashi.

CM Yogi Adityanath: Wide-ranging development push

The projects span multiple sectors including infrastructure, urban development, connectivity, and public services. The large-scale investment is aimed at boosting regional growth, improving civic amenities, and enhancing the overall quality of life in the region.

Amrit Bharat Express flagged off

On the occasion, the Prime Minister also flagged off new Amrit Bharat Express trains connecting key routes:

  • Varanasi to Pune
  • Ayodhya to Mumbai

These trains are expected to improve long-distance connectivity and provide more affordable travel options for passengers.

Boost to dairy farmers

In a significant move for the rural economy, bonus payments were transferred to over 3.21 lakh milk producers associated with Banas Dairy. The step is aimed at strengthening farmer income and supporting the dairy sector.

Presence of key leaders

The event was attended by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, highlighting coordinated efforts between the Centre and the state government.

Kashi at the centre of development vision

Highlighting the cultural and economic significance of Varanasi, the initiative reflects the government’s focus on transforming the ancient city into a modern urban hub while preserving its heritage.

The projects launched by Narendra Modi are expected to generate employment, improve infrastructure, and accelerate development across eastern Uttar Pradesh.
