Pregnant women in UP to get free ultrasound

There is good news for pregnant women. In fact, now pregnant women will not have to starve to get tested on Prime Minister’s Safe Motherhood Campaign Day. Under the campaign, pregnant women will be provided drinking water here. A budget provision has been made by the National Health Mission (NHM). There will also be an ultrasound test on the PPP model.

Community health centers will get Rs 1500

Pradhan Mantri Safe Motherhood Campaign Day is celebrated on 24th of every month in community and other health units. In this, pregnant women are provided with other health related services including check-up. Sometimes it takes a lot of time for women to investigate. In such a situation, pregnant women have to wait for hunger-thirst test and doctor’s advice. Under the campaign, provision has been made for arrangement of water and snacks for pregnant women.

Community Health Center (FRU) will be provided Rs 1500 under the campaign from NHM. So that arrangements can be made for drinking water for pregnant women.

Ultrasound Probe on PPP Model

There is provision for free treatment of pregnant women in government hospitals. Not all hospitals in rural areas have the facility of ultrasound examination. Women have to be referred to district level units. In such a situation, pregnant women have to face inconvenience for investigation. To save women from mischief, a provision has been made for ultrasound examination on PPP model. Pregnant women will be provided the facility of ultrasound examination on PPP model during Prime Minister’s Safe Motherhood Campaign Day.

The facility will be implemented on priority basis in the centers where there are more pregnant women.

Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak said, continuous efforts are being made to reduce the figures of maternal and child mortality. For safe delivery, women should get timely check-up and treatment done on the advice of the doctor. The facilities in the hospitals are continuously being increased by the government. The Modi government at the center is very serious about health services. Welfare schemes are being implemented.
