Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has once again targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said that 'a thug does what he is doing in the name of religion'. Rahul Gandhi said these things in response to a woman during the 'Bharat Jodo Abhiyan' program of social organizations. In fact, that woman had asked Rahul Gandhi that 'What do you have to say about the storm of religion that is going on in UP at the moment, what will the Congress do?'
This is not religion, it is unrighteousness: Rahul Gandhi
On which Rahul Gandhi said that 'You said that this is a storm of religion, then let me tell you that this is not religion, it is unrighteousness, I have read Islam, read the Bible, studied Buddhism, I have studied Hinduism. Have also read, no religion teaches hatred. That's why what BJP is doing is not religion, it is unrighteousness, as soon as a person stops doing penance, the situation becomes confusing for him.
He further said that 'Congress is a party of ascetics, while BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh are just the opposite. According to the kind of language used by CM Yogi Adityanath, he cannot be a religious leader. Merely wearing saffron clothes does not make one a religious leader. If Yogi ji had understood Hindu religion, he would not have done what he does, I am sorry that CM Yogi Adityanath is insulting his Gorakhnath too, he is a religious leader but a thug.
Asked to chant 'Jai Siya Ram'
Talking about his experience in the nearly 3,500 km Kanyakumari-Kashmir padyatra, the Congress leader mentioned that 'when some people were chanting 'Jai Shri Ram', we asked them to chant 'Jai Siya Ram'. Bharat Jodo Yatra was a small and first step in connecting the country, further efforts will be made in the interest of the country.
