Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav meets Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee

Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav arrived in Kolkata on Friday (March 17) to attend the party’s National Working Committee meeting. In this meeting many issues were discussed regarding the strategy of the Lok Sabha elections. Meanwhile, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. While Akhilesh has made a big announcement regarding the alliance, the SP chief said that the Samajwadi Party will maintain an equal distance from both the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Along with this, SP President Akhilesh Yadav said that SP will stand firmly with Trinamool Congress President Mamata Banerjee to defeat BJP.

At the same time, in this meeting of Mamta and Akhilesh, talks have been held regarding the third front, an agreement has been made between them about the third new front on an equal distance from the Congress and the BJP. The head of the Samajwadi Party has urged Mamata to lead the front. CM Mamata has also assured Akhilesh to the Third Front and has said that she will be present in the next meeting and meeting. Along with this, former CM Akhilesh while talking to the media after the meeting of party workers in Kolkata said that we are with Mamata Didi in Bengal. At this point of time, our stand is that we want to keep equal distance from both BJP and Congress.

Addressing a workers’ convention in Kolkata, the SP president praised Mamata Banerjee for defeating the BJP in the 2021 West Bengal assembly elections. He said Samajwadi Party is ready to make any sacrifice to save our constitution. If we can defeat BJP in Uttar Pradesh, then BJP can be defeated in the whole country. On the other hand, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, who reached Kolkata for the meeting of SP’s National Executive in West Bengal, said many things regarding this meeting of SP. The SP President said that we have not come to Bengal for the first time, we have come to Bengal for the sixth time. In this meeting, the senior leaders of the party will give suggestions on how to wipe out the BJP from the country in 2024, and decide the direction of the party.
