Sambhal cold storage owners arrested from Uttarakhand

Police has started action in the cold storage accident in Sambhal. The police have arrested Rohit Agarwal and Ankur Agarwal, both the owners of the cold storage. 14 People had died in the accident and about 10 people were saved.

The District Magistrate told that four people are undergoing treatment in a hospital in Moradabad, while six have been discharged. Sambhal is about 158 ​​km from Delhi and 350 km from state capital Lucknow.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who came on an official visit to Moradabad on Friday, also went to the hospital where the injured are being treated. Yogi met the injured and inquired about their well being and gave necessary guidelines to the officials.

The Chief Minister has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of those killed in the accident and Rs 50,000 each to the seriously injured. He has also directed to provide free treatment to those injured in the accident. The Chief Minister has constituted a committee to investigate this incident of roof collapse.

Earlier, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Shalabh Mathur had told that a case has been registered against the cold storage owners Ankur Aggarwal and Rohit Aggarwal on charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
