RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, a diversified business conglomerate, will invest Rs 10,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh.
The group’s chief Sanjiv Goenka made the announcement in a meeting with state chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
The industry group said, “Sanjiv Goenka met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today and announced an investment of Rs 10,000 crore in the state.”
Out of the total investment, Rs 7,500 crore will be invested in renewable energy while Rs 1,000 crore each will be invested in power distribution and retail sectors.
In addition, Rs 500 crore will be invested in sports academies.
“With this Rs 10,000 crore investment, RP Sanjiv Goenka Group’s investment in Uttar Pradesh will increase to Rs 20,000 crore,” the group said.
The Kolkata-based conglomerate is operating in the power, IT services, media and entertainment and retail sectors.
