Sister and her boyfriend caught in compromising position, they eliminate 12-year-old brother

Uttar Pradesh: An 18-year-old girl and her boyfriend have been arrested for the murder of her 12-year-old brother in the Bhadokhar area of Rae Bareli district. The boy reportedly caught the couple in a compromising position and threatened to inform their parents. In response, the couple slit the boy's throat with a sickle.

Initial police investigation and contradictory statements

The boy's body was found near his house earlier this week while his parents were away attending a wedding. Local residents informed the police about the murder, and the sister's initial statements did not provide satisfactory answers during the investigation. When a woman police officer was asked to question her, the sister alleged that a local youth had made a robbery bid at their house and had attacked them, killing her brother.

Recovery of evidence leads to confession

The police picked up the youth named by the sister but found that he was in Lucknow at the time of the incident, which was confirmed by the location of his mobile phone. Upon further questioning, the sister narrated a different version of events, and mobile phones active near the spot were checked. The police team searched the house and found the sickle, wrapped in a blood-stained cloth, and a cell phone. The sister confessed to the crime when questioned about the mobile and sickle.
