These include hostels, roads, school buildings and multiple infrastructure upgrades aimed at boosting connectivity, education, and public facilities across the region.
Presence at Tribal Pride Day Celebration
CM Yogi Adityanath visited Sonbhadra on Saturday and attended the Tribal Pride Day (Janajatiya Gaurav Diwas) celebrations at the Railway Ground in Chopan. The event was organised to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda, the iconic tribal freedom fighter. Yogi Adityanath participated as the chief guest during the programme, which highlighted the cultural heritage and contributions of tribal communities.
Cultural Performances Add Colour to the Event
Artists from Arunachal Pradesh and Sonbhadra performed the traditional Karma dance, captivating the audience. The stage showcased tribal heritage, traditional art forms, and cultural identity, adding vibrancy and significance to the celebrations. The beautifully choreographed performances reflected the diverse tribal traditions of India.
Honouring Tribal Freedom Fighters
During the ceremony, CM Yogi honoured the families of tribal freedom fighters on the stage at the Railway Ground. He reiterated the government’s commitment to preserving the rich history, culture, and legacy of tribal communities. The Chief Minister also released the district’s Development and Tourism booklet, highlighting ongoing and upcoming initiatives meant to accelerate Sonbhadra’s growth.
