Tears and Tributes Mark Prateek Yadav’s Final Journey as Aparna Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav Lead Mourners, Postmortem Reveals BIG

Tears and tributes marked Prateek Yadav’s final journey in Lucknow as Aparna Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav led mourners; postmortem revealed massive pulmonary thromboembolism, underscoring an urgent need for early‑diagnosis systems, public awareness about blood clots, and better handling of “unexplained” symptoms in high‑risk patients.

Tears and tributes flowed as Prateek Yadav, the 38-year-old son of late Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav, was cremated in Lucknow, with his wife Aparna Yadav and brother-in-law Akhilesh Yadav leading a visibly shaken family through the last rites. Emotional scenes punctuated the sombre mood as party workers, relatives and well-wishers assembled to pay homage to a man who had largely stayed away from active politics and was known for his fitness and gym culture in the city.

Last Journey and Mourning

Prateek’s body was taken to Baikunth Dham in Lucknow for the last rites, which were performed amidst a sea of mourners and tight security. Aparna Yadav, the BJP leader and vice-chairperson of the state women’s commission, was seen in tears with their daughter, while Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav stood in silent grief beside her, putting the cross-party personal bond within the family on display. Social media and news reels flashed the emotional moments as leaders and party workers laid floral tributes, turning the ceremony into a public farewell for the young scion.

Medical Necessity and Autopsy Results

The postmortem report said Prateek died of a massive pulmonary thromboembolism, where a large blood clot blocked blood flow to the lungs, resulting in cardio-respiratory collapse. Samples of the heart, clot-like material and viscera were preserved for extensive histopathological and chemical studies by doctors to identify the exact origin and underlying reasons for the clot. This has led to a need for better early diagnosis protocols and public awareness of silent risks such as unexplained injuries and recurring chest problems that allegedly marked Prateek’s last days.
