Prateek Grand Society in Ghaziabad was left reeling under chaos and damage after severe negligence by builder Prashant Tiwari led to a catastrophic sewage water flood in the basement of the residential complex.The incident occurred on Friday when construction activities were underway in the basement area of Prateek Grand Society, located in the Siddharth Vihar area of Ghaziabad.

During digging operations by Prateek Group Builders, the wall of a nearby drain and the adjoining Gangajal plant collapsed, resulting in the basement being inundated with dirty sewage water. Over 30 vehicles, parked in the basement, were submerged, causing significant property loss to the residents.

Residents and authorities alike have condemned the gross negligence of the builder, Prashant Tiwari, whose irresponsible construction practices have once again raised concerns over the safety and accountability of real estate developers operating in Ghaziabad.

The Housing Development Council has taken serious note of the incident. Acting on a formal complaint lodged by junior engineer Yogendra Kumar Gupta, the council has registered an FIR against builder Prashant Tiwari and other unidentified individuals at Vijaynagar police station. The charges include risking lives, damaging government property, and obstructing public service.
