The Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath government is preparing to strengthen staffing in newly established government secondary schools by proposing the creation of 1,344 teaching posts across 163 institutions in the state.

According to the proposal, the new vacancies include 420 Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) positions and 924 LT Grade Assistant Teacher posts. In addition, the plan also provides for the appointment of 42 principals, 121 headmasters, and 174 junior assistants to support the administration of the schools. Recruitment is expected to be carried out through the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) and the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC).
Teaching Posts for 163 New Secondary Schools
The proposed posts are intended for schools established under various government initiatives, including the Chief Minister’s announcements, the Samagra Shiksha programme, and the Prime Minister Jan Vikas Programme. Officials believe the move will improve teacher availability, strengthen school administration, and enhance the quality of education in the newly opened institutions across Uttar Pradesh.
