CM Yogi Adityanath has issued a public advisory urging citizens to stay cautious during the ongoing summer season, as temperatures continue to rise across the state.

Addressing the people of Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister emphasized that every life is valuable and assured that the government has made comprehensive preparations to tackle extreme heat conditions. Coordinated and timely action has been ensured at all administrative levels to minimize the impact of the heatwave.

34,000 MW Power Supply Planned
With electricity demand surging due to rising temperatures, the state government has planned to ensure up to 34,000 MW of power supply during peak hours. All thermal power plants are being operated at full capacity to meet the increased demand. Additionally, the process of replacing old electricity meters with smart meters has been temporarily paused to avoid disruptions.
Health Measures and Public Safety
The government has initiated several measures to protect citizens, especially vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and laborers. These include:
- Sprinkling water on roads and creating shaded areas
- Setting up health camps at industrial and construction sites
- Special hospital arrangements for immediate treatment of heatstroke cases
- Provision of free drinking water at tehsils, police stations, hospitals, and anganwadi centres
Protection of Animals and Environment
Special directives have also been issued to ensure the safety of livestock and wildlife. Zoos and sanctuaries are implementing Heatwave Action Plans, while cow shelters are being provided with adequate green fodder, bran, and water.
Public Advisory: Stay Safe in Summer
The Chief Minister appealed to citizens to take preventive steps, including:
- Keeping water outside homes for birds and animals
- Staying hydrated with water, buttermilk, lemon water, or coconut water
- Wearing loose cotton or khadi clothes
- Avoiding negligence that could lead to fire hazards

Referring to the recent celebration of Akshaya Tritiya and the birth anniversary of Parashurama, CM Yogi highlighted the values of service, dedication, and compassion. He urged citizens to extend help to others during extreme weather conditions.
The advisory reinforces the Uttar Pradesh government’s proactive approach to managing seasonal challenges while ensuring public safety and welfare.
