UP News: Government to install anti-sleep devices in buses on experiment basis

UP News: Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh announced in a press release on statement that the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation would shortly install anti-sleep devices in 10 buses on an experimental basis.

According to Singh, 680 Transport Corporation buses would have these gadgets fitted in the first phase when the initial 10 buses’ testing period is up. He further mentioned that the cost of installation will be about Rs. 14,000 for each device.

He further mentioned that the device will be supplied by the company, Inceptum Tecnica Solutions Private Limited.

When an accident could occur, the anti-sleep device activates. In day mode, an LED light blinks for 5 to 8 seconds, and in night mode, it blinks for 6 to 9 seconds. Then comes the buzzer, which is followed by the siren’s start, and the SMS gets to the headquarters.

All of the data, according to the minister, will be kept on cloud storage.
