UP Recruitment 2026: CM Yogi Adityanath: UPSSSC Announces 2,759 Vacancies for Technical Assistant Posts, Applications from May 22

UP Recruitment 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has announced recruitment for 2,759 Technical Assistant Group-C posts under the Agriculture Directorate, offering a major opportunity for candidates in the agriculture sector.

According to the official notification, online applications will begin from May 22, 2026, with the last date to apply set as June 11, 2026. Candidates will be allowed to make corrections in their application forms until June 18, 2026.

UP Recruitment 2026: Eligibility and Application Process

Only candidates who have qualified the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025) will be eligible to apply. Applications will be accepted online through the official UPSSSC website.

The application fee is ₹25 for all categories, making the process accessible to a wide range of applicants.

Vacancy Distribution

Out of the total 2,759 posts:

  • 1,692 posts are unreserved
  • 213 posts are reserved for Scheduled Castes
  • 573 posts are for Other Backward Classes
  • 275 posts are allocated to Economically Weaker Sections

Educational Qualification and Age Limit

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or equivalent qualifications such as:

  • B.Sc. (Hons) Forestry
  • B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering
  • Four-year degree in Community Science or related fields

The age limit is 21 to 40 years.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a written examination, for which candidates will be shortlisted based on their PET scores. The exam will carry 100 marks and include negative marking for incorrect answers.

Exam Pattern

The two-hour exam will include questions from:

  • Crop Science (25 marks)
  • Biotechnology, Plant Breeding, Crop Physiology (10 marks)
  • Soil and Water Management (15 marks)
  • Agriculture Extension, Economics, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Science (5 marks each)
  • Computer and IT concepts, latest technological developments (15 marks)
  • General knowledge related to Uttar Pradesh (20 marks)
