UP SIR Draft List: Names of 2.89 crore people could not be verified or traced in Uttar Pradesh as per the Election Commission of India (ECI).

UP SIR Draft List: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced that a total of 12.55 crore voter forms were received by it during the process of voter verification process in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

It added that the names of 2.89 crore people could not be verified or traced. A total of 46.23 lakh were identified as deceased.

The claims and objections duration starts today till February 6, 2026. The ECI would publish the final electoral roll for Uttar Pradesh on March 6, 2026.

How to Check Your Name in the UP Draft Voter List?

All voters have been urged by the Election Commission to stay calm and avoid any panic. You can visit the ECI website at ECI.GOV.IN and enter your personal details such as name, EPIC number, district and constituency.

What if Your Name Is Missing?

Claims and objections can be filed if your name does not feature in the UP Special Intensive Revision (SIR) draft list until February 6.

Form 7 is to make request for deletion of ineligible or incorrect entries while form 6 is for new voters or whose names have been deleted.

You can submit the form, offline or online by submitting documents such as identity, address and proof of age. The local Booth Level Officer (BLO) may be approached for assistance.
