Meteorologists forecast a gradual increase in mercury by around two degrees from November 24 to 27. Following the rain, a subsequent dip in temperatures is anticipated, affecting areas such as Lucknow and its surrounding districts. The overall impact on the state's weather will include a drop in day temperatures due to cloudy skies.

The air quality in the capital of Uttar Pradesh is witnessing a decline, with the average Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching 276 on Thursday. Specific areas, such as Talkatora and Lalbagh, reported AQI levels of 352 and 328, respectively, falling into the "very bad" category. Meteorologists predict that the AQI will decrease as temperatures rise. Gomtinagar recorded an AQI of 249, categorized as "poor," while readings near Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kukrail Picnic Spot, and BR University were 262, 207, and 258, respectively. The morning also witnessed mist, adding to the atmospheric conditions.
