Uttar Pradesh: Following allegations that they attempted to molest a woman by sneaking into her Kanpur home at night, two constables from the Uttar Pradesh Police have been suspended. A case has also been registered against both the accused.

Following information about a fight in the vicinity, two constables arrived at the Lalpur intersection of the Naubasta police station area. The altercation took place between a vegetable vendor and a man who ran away when he saw the police.

After a while, the police officers—who were supposedly intoxicated—barged into the home of the vegetable dealer. The police officers shoved the man aside as soon as he opened the gate, went into the house where his wife was present, and allegedly began abusing the woman. When the woman raised an alarm, the people of the area chased away both the constables and caught them.

FIR after allegations

Police officers, including ADCP, arrived at the scene after learning about the event. The officer disclosed that a FIR had been filed as a result of the victim's allegation. "Investigations are being conducted into every complaint made by the woman. The two constables have been suspended as a result of the action "the police officer added.

The victim is seen slapping the accused policeman in a video of the event that has gone popular on social media.
