The Uttar Pradesh government is set to inaugurate the new headquarters of the Uttar Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (UPSDMA) in Lucknow on July 19, 2026, marking another step toward strengthening the state’s disaster preparedness and emergency response infrastructure.

According to the state government, the modern headquarters has been built at a cost of more than ₹200 crore and is designed to enhance disaster management capabilities through advanced technology, improved coordination, and efficient emergency response systems.

The facility is expected to serve as a central hub for disaster preparedness, rapid relief and rescue operations, the use of modern technologies, and seamless coordination among various government departments. Officials said the new headquarters will play a key role in improving the state’s ability to respond effectively to natural and man-made disasters while ensuring the safety of citizens.

The initiative has been undertaken under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The state government said its objective is not only to manage disasters efficiently but also to build a resilient Uttar Pradesh capable of minimizing the impact of emergencies through better planning and institutional preparedness.

The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to take place at 10:30 AM on July 19, 2026, at 7/10-B, Sector-7, Gomti Nagar Extension, opposite the Dial 112 Headquarters on Shaheed Path in Lucknow.

Officials stated that the new UPSDMA headquarters reflects the government’s continued investment in modern infrastructure and institutional capacity, reinforcing its commitment to building a safer, more capable, and disaster-resilient Uttar Pradesh.
