Vande Bharat Viral Video: A Vande Bharat train passenger travelling from Prayagraj to Delhi was left in complete shock after she was served hot rotis and kachoris despite the packaging instructions clearly specifying that the product should be first removed before being heated in the microwave.

Vande Bharat Viral Video-Turn Of Events

In a now viral video, the woman could be seen asking the catering staff if they heated the food inside a sealed plastic packaging. To her amazement, the catering staff asked her if she wanted the food cold.

The woman clarified that temperature is not the issue for her but the packet is required to be stored in a dry and cool place.

Not Just Vande Bharat, But Rajdhani Train Too!

The passenger shared in a detailed post on X that she experienced similar travel catering experiences on both the Rajdhani Express (Delhi to Prayagraj) and the Vande Bharat (Prayagraj to Delhi). The lady passenger wrote that she consumed the hot kachori on the Rajdhani train immediately as she was extremely hungry but later went on to realize that something was not right.

She also went on to comment that the “Halka Phulka” packet of rotis offered to her clearly does not mention a no “microwave safe” label and was to be stored in a cool and dry place.

The passenger tagged IRCTC, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and the Ministry of Railways. She received an immediate response from IRCTC saying, ““Ma’am, our sincere apology for the inconvenience. Please DM your PNR and mobile number to enable us to address this.”

Certain plastics when heated marginally or beyond a point could end up releasing harmful chemicals into food. It is certainly not safe to heat the food inside a sealed plastic packaging.

A user commented, “Ashwini ji busy shooting Vande Bharat reels while passengers eat melted packaging.” Another user commented, “What kind of lazy and inconsiderate country we are becoming. Everyone wants to take a shortcut for everything.”
