Viral Video: Masked woman steals jewellery worth lakhs in UP's Gorakhpur, Her style has left netizens in splits

Viral Video: Theft and robbery takes humungous skills and efforts. But, what has happened in UP's Gorakhpur shows just something else. A gold necklace set worth lakhs was stolen from an Uttar Pradesh jewellery showroom by a woman wearing a mask and dark glasses, according to the CCTV footage.

'Masked' woman steals jwellery worth lakhs

As per reports, the incident happened on 17th of November. The "masked" woman could be seen in the video sitting among the showroom's sofa in Gorakhpur. Her face is obscured by the sunglasses and the mask, making it difficult to see. It turned out to be a part of her plan to avoid being discovered.

As she asks the salesperson to showcase one necklace in the video, the woman is seen trying on many necklaces and expertly slipping a box under the folds of her saree. She exits without making a purchase after appearing to look at a few more items. The salespeople placed the boxes away without having any suspicions and failed to notice any missing sets.

Netizens react after seeing the viral video

The woman was able to escape with a box that contained a gold necklace and pair of expensive earrings. The video was shared on Twitter by a user named 'Arvind Chauhan'. Since being shared a day ago, the video has garnered over 95.9K views along with several thousand likes. Expressing their opinion in the comments, a user wrote "Too much of skills and effort." Another user wrote, "Hats off to her planning." Meanwhile, a third user wrote "She deserves Oscar for her acting."
