Ram Temple Inauguration: Leading opposition figures have received invitations to the Ram Temple’s consecration ceremony, which is set for January 22 in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The newly constructed Ram Temple will be inaugurated next month, and senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh, Mallikarjun Kharge, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, and JD(S) supremo Devegowda have all received invitations from the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, according to Working President Alok Kumar of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP).
Congress Leaders Decline Attendance
The leaders of Congress, however, are not expected to attend, according to news agency PTI. A wide range of dignitaries have been invited to the consecration of the new Ram Lalla idol in the newly built temple’s sanctum sanctorum. The PTI report also stated that more invitations to other opposition leaders are probably going to be extended in the near future.
Dignitaries of the Nation to Grace Ceremony
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath are expected to attend the ceremony, and preparations are currently underway and should be finished by January 15. January 16 is the start date of the praan pratistha puja, and it ends on January 22. The week-long celebration for the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya will begin on January 17 with a procession of tableaux depicting scenes from the life of Lord Rama, accompanied by 100 idols of the deity.
Ranjit Mandal’s Vision Unveiled
The main sculptor working on the tableaux, Ranjit Mandal, stated that the procession will feature statues and images that portray the life of Lord Rama from birth to exile, the victory over Lanka, and his return to Ayodhya. The week-long celebrations for the consecration ceremony will formally begin with the procession. Additionally, work is underway to have the renovated Ayodhya railway station operational by January 15. According to sources, a portion of the new station building will be equipped to manage the massive influx of people anticipated in the city for the inauguration and even beyond. This includes the upgraded pilgrim-holding areas that come with artwork and installations related to Lord Ram.
