Apple iOS 18: With the 2024 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) coming up in June, everyone’s attention is focused on the impending iOS 18 update, which is expected to revolutionise the iPhone experience. The main buzz of iOS 18 is its artificial intelligence (AI) integration, which is expected to be a big improvement over iOS 17. AI plays a big part in why the next iOS 18 update from Apple is anticipated to be a major improvement over iOS 17. The New York Post claims, however, that the new features are limited to iPhones that use the powerful A12 Bionic core, meaning anyone still using the iPhone 8 Plus or previous models are not eligible.
Additional features of iOS 18 that are anticipated to be released include new Home Screen design tools that will enable qualified iPhone owners to create spaces, rows, and columns between apps. When Apple formally unveils iOS 18’s features during its WWDC from June 10 through June 14, the reported features—including a possible collaboration with Google’s AI assistant Gemini—are also expected to be verified.
Expected Compatible devices
The iPhone XR and XS models were the first to use Apple’s A12 Bionic processor. Thus, in addition to the iPhone XR and XS, all phones in the iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 model lines, as well as the second and third generations of the iPhone SE models, will be able to take advantage of the new features.
