Reason behind the shortage
Future Apple iPhone 15 Pro models will feature displays with little bezels. LG and Samsung both produce these panels. Reliability tests where the display is bonded to the metal casing are apparently failing on panels made by LG. In order to pass the dependability testing, Apple is now modifying the design of these screens.
The Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max may therefore be hard to come by when they first go on sale. But don't forget, Apple uses screens for these phones that were manufactured by Samsung as well. How well the panels made by Samsung are working is unknown.
