What is NavIC?

ISRO has built a regional navigation satellite system called Navigation with Indian Constellation (NavIC) to satisfy the country's position, navigation, and timing needs. Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) was the previous name for NavIC. NavIC is constructed with a constellation of seven satellites and a network of ground stations that operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
