Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Monday praised the Government of India’s PRAGATI (Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation) platform, calling it a strong symbol of New India’s work culture that ensures accountability, transparency, and timely execution of development projects.
CM Yogi Adityanath Highlights PRAGATI Platform as Game-Changer
Speaking on the PRAGATI platform, CM Yogi said the initiative reflects the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who laid a strong foundation for digital governance and cooperative federalism in 2014. He said PRAGATI proves that when clear intent, advanced technology, and accountability come together, results are automatically delivered on the ground.
Governance and Infrastructure Growth in Uttar Pradesh
The chief minister explained that PRAGATI is not just a review mechanism but a reform-driven governance model that aligns with the principle of minimum government and maximum governance. He noted that the platform has significantly improved monitoring of mega infrastructure projects, social welfare schemes, and system-level reforms while promoting a Team India approach.
CM Yogi further stated that PRAGATI has transformed the traditional field culture of governance by ensuring outcome-based implementation. He highlighted that projects worth over ₹86 lakh crore have been implemented at the national level through the platform, including 377 projects directly monitored by the Prime Minister. Out of 3,162 projects, as many as 2,958 have been successfully resolved, reflecting the growing credibility of governance systems.
Calling PRAGATI a game-changer for a large state like Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath said the state has emerged as one of India’s leading infrastructure growth engines. He added that strong infrastructure has now become the backbone of both state and national development, with continuous progress being ensured through digital monitoring tools like the progress portal.
The chief minister emphasised that PRAGATI has opened new pathways in economic, social, and environmental governance, setting benchmarks for positive and responsive administration across the country.
