Elon Musk, in a new post on his social media platform, Wrote, “Two new tiers of X Premium subscriptions launching soon. One is lower cost with all features, but no reduction in ads, and the other is more expensive, but has no ads."
Musk did not provide any detail on the subscription plans.
Not a bot subscription plan
In an effort to combat bots and spammers on X, while balancing platform accessibility with the small fee amount, X has begun charging new users in the Philippines and New Zealand a $1 annual subscription.
With Musk taking over the platform in October 2022, advertisers have stopped running advertising on it due to his quick alterations, which have included huge layoffs and the dissolution of content control staff.
Musk blames activists for pressing advertisers while admitting that the platform's revenue has suffered.
