Elon Musk's X may soon launch a news distribution service, All we know

Elon Musk: Elon Musk, the company’s owner, and Linda Yaccarino, the CEO, recently spoke to the staff during an all-hands meeting. According to reports, during the conversation, the two discussed the changes that the once-named Twitter platform has seen in the last year as well as Musk’s goals for the business. Elon Musk’s ‘XWire’

Reportedly dubbed XWire, the news distribution service is expected to compete with current platforms that disseminate press releases and company news. Nevertheless, according to Bloomberg, Musk and Yaccarino revealed little about how the business might more effectively compete with platforms.

Musk, who is placing an important bet on X Corp becoming a reliable news source, stated last week that the platform is “open source news” and that anything pertinent from traditional media is readily accessible on X.

Is Threads in the race?

Instagram Threads, X’s primary competition, is shifting away from the news while X plans to become a news-friendly platform and encourage journalists to produce original content. Last month, Adam Mosseri, the head of the platform, stated that the company had no intention of “amplifying” news on its platform.
