OnePlus recently launched its all-new OnePlus 12 Series in India. The new series included two smartphones- the OnePlus 12 and the OnePlus 12R. However, the company has made a big blunder in the launch event while launching the affordable device in the range, the OnePlus 12R. In the launch event, OnePlus announced that the lower storage configuration variant of 12R has UFS 3.1 storage and the variant with higher storage configuration comes with UFS 4.0.
So, people who wanted to go with a lower storage variant bought a higher variant just for the reason of getting faster storage. But, recently it was reported that both variants of the OnePlus 12R come with UFS 3.1 storage and there is no variant with UFS 4.0 storage.
OnePlus Announces Full Refund
OnePlus has made a public announcement for the people who opted to buy a high storage (16GB+256GB) variant of the OnePlus 12R for faster storage. All the people who purchased a higher variant of the OnePlus 12R are eligible to get a full refund for the device. Such customers will get their full refund their refund by mid-March.
If you are one of those who bought the OnePlus 12’s high-storage variant, You will need to contact OnePlus via their customer care number to file a request for your refund. Customers must file this request before the announced last date of 16 March.
OnePlus 12R Specs
OnePlus 12R features a 6.72-inch LTPO AMOLED display supporting a high refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 4500 nits. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor which is coupled with up to 16 GB RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.
Talking about the camera specs, the device features a triple rear camera setup incorporating a 50MP IMX890 OIS sensor, 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro lens. The device gets a 16MP selfie shooter in the front. Additionally, the OnePlus 12R comes with a 5500 mAh battery supporting 100-watt fast charging.

OnePlus 12R comes in two variants. The base 8GB+256GB variant is priced at Rs 39999 and the top-end 16GB+256GB is priced at Rs. 45999.
