Following a significant outage that affected millions of users on Saturday, including those in India, Google has finally resumed Gmail service. Users of Gmail expressed frustration over unreceived mail. Worldwide, both desktop and mobile app versions were impacted.

“The gmail issue has now been completely resolved. After clearing the backlog of undeliverable messages, mail services have resumed as usual “In an update, Google Workspace stated.
The company added, “Thanks for your patience while we addressed this problem.”
The company had previously stated that mitigating efforts were under progress and “email delivery is no longer failing.”
The company continued, “Google Engineering is presently working through the backlog of undelivered messages and expects all communications to be delivered in the next few hours.”

Google remained mum about what caused the massive worldwide outage
Apart from failed connections, the majority of issues were related to receiving emails, according to website outage monitoring tool Downdetector.com.
Worldwide, both desktop and mobile app versions were impacted.
