Google Chrome Will Officially Stop Chrome Support For Windows 7 And Windows 8.1 In The Coming Year

Google Chrome: Most PC fans thought that Windows 7 was one of the best-operating systems Microsoft has made in the last 20 years. Microsoft stopped making the operating system about two years ago, and now one of its biggest support systems has decided it will no longer support Windows 7. Google has officially said that it will stop updating its Chrome browser for Windows 7 starting in 2023.

On February 7, 2023, Google Chrome for Windows 7 will receive its final update

Google Chrome for Windows 7 will get its last update on February 7, 2023. Chromium is the image source. To give you an idea of how popular and well-liked the Windows 7 operating system was, consider this: Even though it came out in 2009 and Microsoft stopped supporting it in 2020, at least 100 million active devices connect to the internet every day and use Windows 7. The next Windows OS, Windows 8.1, on the other hand, doesn’t have even half of those numbers.

This doesn’t count the number of devices that aren’t connected to the internet or that are running a pirated version of Windows 7.

The last version that works with Windows XP and Windows Vista will be released on February 7, 2023

From the point of view of security, this is a big deal. Google’s decision to stop supporting Google Chrome for Windows 7 means that a lot of people will soon have an unsupported operating system and a web browser. Google said that Chrome 110, which is expected to come out on February 7, 2023, will be the last version that works with Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Chrome will still work after version 110, but the support page says it won’t get any more updates for Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.

If you’re still using Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, we recommend that you finally upgrade to a new operating system as soon as you can. So, you can get security updates for your operating system and use the latest Chrome features and security improvements.
