Google Introduces New Feature For Android Auto; All You Must Know

Somtime Ago, the tech Giant Google confirmed that it will make Android Auto more engaging for users with the addition of some new features and productivity apps to the car infotainment system which will offer a safe driving environment and connectivity to the world.

The company has released important details on the new features and improvements to Android Auto via an official blog post.

Entertainment Apps For Android Auto

For the users entertainment while car is parked. Android Auto is pushing more entertainment apps in cars coming with Google integration. Amazon Prime Video is available is available through Google Play for select Polestar, Renault and Volvo cars. The company has promised to increase the compatibility to more cars soon in the future.

Additionally, Google has offered Vivaldi web browser support to Android Auto. The browser wide range of features and enables users to browse the internet when the car is parked. It also comes with The Weather Channel app which can be installed form Google Play.

Enhanced Productivity For Android Auto

The Tech giant has announced that video conferencing Apps like WebX by Zoom and Cisco are available on Android Auto. But the feature is limited to audio only, yet it is convenient for users to take meetings on the go. The company has also given a mute/unmute functionality in the car infotainment system aimed for seamless meeting experience.

Smart Features

The Google is also expanding its compatibiiity for digital car keys, allowing you to lock, unlock and start your car engine with your smartphone. Digital keys can also be shared with friends and family on both iOS and Android. Digital Key features is available only in select cars from Hyundai, Genesis, kia in Canada, US and Korea.
