Google: The search giant announced that the Google Lens icon will now have a prominent place on the Google Search homepage. A recent report, on the other hand, says that Google will stop making its Street View app in March 2023. Users of the Google Street View app can get 360-degree views of almost any street in the world. Users can also add their own 360-degree photos to the Street View database using this app. The more popular Google Maps app also has support for 360-degree Street View. There is also a web app called Street View Studio that lets people upload their 360-degree photos.

Google Search home page now has an icon for Google Lens

Rajan Patel, Google's Vice President of Engineering, said on Tuesday that the Google Lens icon has been added to the Google Search homepage. Now, the Lens icon is next to the microphone icon in the search box.

When a user clicks the icon, they can choose to drag and drop, upload, or paste a link to a file. Google Lens lets you search, type, translate, and find the source of an image. These tools were added to the desktop version of Chrome earlier this year.

The Google Street View app will stop working on March 31, 2023, according to a report from 9to5Google. In the app's most recent update, version 2.0.0.484371618, the company reportedly put a few notices about closing down the app. For now, these notices are not visible to the public.

360-degree videos For Street View Studio

Google is asking contributors to move their 360-degree videos to Street View Studio, according to the leaked screenshots. Meanwhile, Google Maps has the Street View and Photo Sphere features.

On the other hand, the Photo Paths function of the Street View app might be removed along with the app itself. It lets smartphone owners upload 2D photos of streets that are not in the Street View database. For now, neither Google Maps nor Street View Studio have a feature that can replace Photo Paths.
