How to activate UPI for international travel?

Here is how to make a UPI payment internationally

  • Step 1: Launch the Google Pay app on your mobile device.
  • Step 2: Press the QR code scanning icon.
  • Step 3: Scan the merchant’s QR code now, and then input the amount owing in the foreign currency you are currently using. Then carry on.
  • Step 4: Decide which bank to use for payment.
  • Step 5: After entering the amount in a foreign currency and scanning the QR code of an international merchant, you ought to see an option to enable “UPI International.” Press to initiate UPI International.
  • A confirmation message will be sent to your registered number once the transaction is complete.
